Cheryl St. Pierre, Musicianship Teaching Artist
Cheryl’s passion for music began back in her middle school band program, where she got to
learn and experience a variety of instruments and ensembles. She has also been involved in many
woodwind ensembles such as the Fraser Valley Winds Ensemble and the Greater Vancouver Youth
Music Academy. Cheryl has recently graduated from the University of British Columbia for General
Studies in Music, after starting her post-secondary studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University for a few years. At both schools,
she studied saxophone under Julia Nolan. Since graduating, Cheryl has spent the last few years privately
teaching woodwinds, including flute, clarinet, and saxophone. Outside of teaching, she has recently joined
the Cascadia Wind Ensemble and will be playing with them for the upcoming season.
