We have limited spaces for students grades 3 to 12 to attend our Drummin’ in Some Summer Fun week-long music program July 18-22, 2022. Download the: Drummin in Some Summer Fun 2022 Day Camp Application .

Come and make music with our professional musician teaching artists! Thanks to our generous donors, this day camp is heavily subsidized and costs just $20 for each student (grades 3 – 12 welcome). A healthy lunch & snack will be provided.

July 18-22, 2022

Doors will open for drop off at 9:00 am

Classes will begin at 9:30 am sharp

Pick up between 2:30-2:45 pm

Location: 2285 Clearbrook Road (look for our banner)

Cost $20 per student (if this is a hardship, please reach out to us)

There will be four one-hour classes, a 45-minute lunch, and a couple of quick restroom breaks. Students will play different types of drums and enjoy choir & other arts activities.

BMA is open to all Abbotsford youth but we give priority to students from low-income and single-parent families. We are proud that we can level the playing field to give more students access to quality, professional music instruction.

BMA staff and volunteers are fully background checked. We have been proud to teach many Dormick Park, Ten Broeck, Godson, Alexander, Abby Middle, and Abby Senior students since BMA began in 2013.

In 2016, BMA was selected as the recipient for the Abbotsford Board of Education’s annual Community Matters Award. In 2020, BMA won the Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Award for Innovative Initiative – Small & Medium Organizations.

Inspired by the revolutionary El Sistema program in Venezuela, the goal of Bakerview Music Academy is to inspire Abbotsford youth to achieve their full potential and to have a positive impact on their lives and society as a whole.

Our program empowers youth while developing talented musicians who get to experience the joy of performing. They learn and practice together in group classes, building their skills and finding success through discipline, hard work, and a team effort.
