Jayne Tobin, Assistant Teaching Artist – Violin/Viola

Jayne has been playing violin for nine years and is currently a member of the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra, which is directed by Dr. Calvin Dyck. She was able to dedicate a lot of time to studying music theory and practicing when she was homeschooled from grades two to eight. In addition to violin, Jayne plays bass guitar and ukulele and is in the process of learning piano. She enjoys music of all kinds, from rap to renaissance choral music. Jayne looks forward to working with new and returning BMA students, helping them grow their love and passion for a wide variety of music. When she's not playing or teaching music, you'll find Jayne spending time with dogs, her friends, and working in creative environments. She recently auditioned for the Fraser Valley Symphony and will be playing with them for this upcoming season.
